Foundation

1938

Shimura Aluminum Corporation, the predecessor to Ahresty, was founded in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo in 1938.
The company initially began its business operations manufacturing aluminum alloy ingots, die cast products and aluminum sand castings.
The firm subsequently changed its name, in 1943, to Fuso Light Alloys Co., Ltd., and then again in 1988, when it eventually became Ahresty Corporation.The name “AHRESTY” is a phonetic representation of the letters R, S, T, standing for: Research, Service, Technology.

We have established our first overseas manufacturing location in Ohio, USA, in 1988.
Currently Ahresty is a major die cast manufacturer with business locations both in Japan and overseas (the United States, Mexico, China, India, Thailand), and is striving for further international presence.

Aluminum’s specific gravity is only 1/3 that of iron

Aluminum is a strong, lightweight material.
Ahresty’s main products are aluminum die castings, which are frequently used in automobile engines and transmissions. Through its aluminum die-casting technology, Ahresty is contributing to reducing the overall weight of automobiles.
